Woodland Palace tower

Inspired by nature and made with care and love. I love coming back to forms that I’ve enjoyed making in the past, which inspired this one-off Woodland tower.

The outside is covered in a fungi-like form that I glaze with glassy glossy greens. The underside full of engraved texture in the clay. I use oxides and keep the matt clay contrasting to the glossy parts.

There’s 4 openings on the sides which can be used to have dried flowers or grasses bursting from, with a main opening on the top. With how it was made and glazed the form was not designed for water.

Around 25cm tall 17 wide. Top opening 4cm.
